So the most important thing for todays AMA is probably that I’m the CEO of 3air the project we are talking about today. I’ve been working on the project really intensly for a bit over a year but have been working partly on it for a few years prior. My main education is actually economics but I’ve been in computers for years. I’ve been working as a full stack dev for some years but my main work has been in leading projects. I have experience in leading big teams. I’ve been working in the gaming industry for a few years and now I’ve fallen in love with blockchain

Q: What is 3air?
A: 3air is a telecom focused, blockchain platform that is connecting millions of people in Africa’s cities to the World. It’s split in 2 parts:
For one it’s bringing broadband connectivity to Africa’s cities with it’s proprietary technology that allows 3air to build broadband infrastructure where it is impossible to build the traditional way.
Secondly, the platform allows easy access to services and facilitates digital identities and crypto payments where it’s needed the most: in Africa. Additionally, it solves many current telecom issues connected to data sharing, privacy, roaming and fraud prevention.
Q: How does 3air provide broadband?
A: 3air has a patented solution that brings affordable, high-speed, and stable broadband internet, digital TV, and IP telephony to the under-connected people and businesses in developing countries, simply through air. In big cities of Africa there is currently no cable infrastructure that would support broadband and it’s so overcrowded that it is impossible to dig trenches and lay cables there now. So we have found a way how to do it through air, fast and stable.
Q: What additional value does the platform have?
A: 3air blockchain based platform allows easy access to digital services, identity management, payments, and credit line building. The 3air vision is to expand into collateralized and undercollateralized loans, IoT, and roaming and to test disruptive ideas like broadband tokenization and enabling secondary markets for connectivity.
Q: How does 3air help Africa?
A: We believe that Africa has earned and deserves the digital transformation. Broadband has the potential to reduce poverty, promote gender equality and ensure environmental sustainability. It can connect the unconnected, bank the unbanked and educate the uneducated. It can foster inclusions on the global markets, international talent search and online expert collaborations. The potential is truly unlimited.
Q: What function does the 3air token have?
A: We are making 3air the centerpiece of the 3air platform, always adding to its function and to it’s value. As of now these are the foreseen functionalities of the 3air token:
1. All subscriptions will need to be paid with 3air
2. Holding 3air will get you discounts on provided services
3. Agents, resellers, referrals will all need to hold 3air to qualify
5. Company will stake some tokens for each new user that will be used to later payback the HW costs that the user gets leased
6. Collateral/crosscollateral for microloans
7. Used to power the bandwidth sharing model to run the access points and for insurance
8. Governance token, so used for voting
9. Token buybacks
10. Control over the Community pool funds that can be used to burn or to fund local projects

Q: What are the strongest sides of 3air?
A: The strongest side is for sure the proprietary technology that gives us a competitive advantage as we can build infrastructure for 10% of the price of traditional systems. We can also build it much faster as we can be set up and connect the clients within 6 months of entering the market. Secondly, we are driving the adoption of our blockchain platform with our own users. This means that 3air will get instant traction and that’s a huge plus in comparison to usual projects that built the platform at first and then start to search for clients to use it. Also we have a very experienced team within the telecom space as well as the blockchain space.
Q: How can you know that the technology will work?
A: That’s easy.. because we have already built it. We have working solution in Freetown, Sierra Leone where we are covering 96% of the city with only 2 towers. Our towers have the range of 50 km and can reach speeds up to 1 Gbps. The test site is now running for over 2 years with over 2000 people connected to it and it’s working perfectly.
Q: What is the roadmap of 3air?
A: Currently 3air is in the presale phase and with the raise we want first to open Nigeria that’s considered the golden market of Africa. We are also in the process of entering DRC. We then want to enter new countries every 4 months and we have a list of countries up on our website. The platform will be ready by the time we connect the first clients in Nigeria and that should be early Q3 of next year.
Q: How does the project make money?
A: The platform follows the standard fee-based business model and with that it takes a percentage of all the revenue that is processed through the platform. The revenue will come form the clients we connect and provide broadband, TV and telephony services to as well as from other telecom client’s we will connect to in the future, roaming and broadband sharing.

Q:Are you a global project or local project? At present, which market are you focus on, or is it focused on building and growing to gain customers, users and partners?
A: I like this one. a bit different than the rest..
So we are a global project yes. I believe a lot of the developed world or actually everyone all around the world wants to help Africa a bit. We are first focused on Africa because we have the tech that can make the biggest change there, but we are also building a superior telecom platform that will allow some pretty cool features like bandwidht sharing, roaming, access points and those will be interesting globally and will connect telecoms and users all aournd the world. So the goal is to get a stable platform from our won userbase first and then expand and connect others to it.
Q:Do the token holders have the right to participate in the governance of the project? What kind of decisions can they vote on about the project?
A: Yes, governance will be big in 3air. We actually aim to fully decentralize once the community is strong enough. But from the getgo there will be a community pool that you will be able to vote and you will be able to burn the tokens in the pool or fund some localy interesting projects with it. Not a simple task and sometimes people just want to burn tokens and thats alright but what if with the funds you can help build a good company that then again uses 3air services.. that could have even bigger implications and growth for 3air. All voters will also be rewarded of course..
Q: Can you list 1-3 killer features of this project that makes it ahead of its competitors? What is the competitive advantage your project has that you feel most confident about?
A: 1. The K3 last mile solution – the only technology that can be deployed in Africa’s cities right now to get the broadband internet.
2. Guaranteed adoption of the 3air platform with the users we are connecting to the internet
3. The knowledge of being a telecom operator and the blockchain knowledge of our team, paired with users that are willing to adopt new technologies fast
We are ahead of our competitors because we are the only ones with the technology that can bridge the digital divide in Africa right now. It’s simply impossible to lay cables to connect to internet there and mobile is just not strong enough, but we can do it over air and we have done it before in Sierra Leone, so the tech works perfectly.
The advantage of our platform is that we are solving a real problem that we had when everyone comes into our offices each month to pay for the internet. It’s impossible to handle so it’s something everybody want’s and needs. And I know we have identified painpoints of each telecom in regards to data sharing, privacy, security and similar, that can be solved with blockchain technology. We have the knowledge from telecoms, blockchain and we have users willing to adopt new technologies. It’s a win win win.
Q: What is the most ambitious goal of your project? What is the ultimate vision that Your project is trying to achieve within the cryptocurrencies market? I would appreciate it if you could share with us any Upcoming Updates?
A: The end goal is that each and every telecom and ISP in the world is using 3air for providing it’s services. Becoming a global platform with seamless roaming… And we are also looking into features that could revolutionize telecoms in regards to how they sell their services. Tokenizing bandwidth would allow for secondary markets of bandwidth and fair pricing for everyone involved. The people would pay exactly what they use and the companies would still optimize their profits.

Q: Tell us a little bit about security? Have you done an audit of the platform? Are the smart contracts error-free? What are the test results?
A: We are not at the stage yet where we would be doing audits but we will have all our code audited yes. We are running multi million telecom business on the platform we need to have an audit 🙂
Q: Are you planning to promote your project in countries / regions where English is not good? Do you have a local community for them to better understand your project?
A: Yes we want to be global so we are planning on promoting in different languages. Actually we are right now looking for Ambasadors and admins for different languages. If you are interested head over to our tg and apply with one of the admins.
Q: Many blockchain projects are just on paper and have no real meaning. What practical product is your project using? What plans do you have for a better product in the future?
A: We are exactly the opposite. We are coming from a real world problem and are solving it. We know where conenctivity is needed and how it’s done and how blockhain can solve the problems in that area so we are all for real products
Q: So many projects just like to speak about the “long term vision and mission” but what are your short terms objectives? What are you focusing right now?
A: Right now we are focusing on getting the public sale ready and filled. Also we are working on swithching some major parts of our TMS to the blockchain and another team in in DRC looking for where to build the towers.
Q: Non-crypto user is very important for mainstream adoption. How you are planning to attract non-crypto users towards your project? Is there any upcoming partnership that will brings non-crypto user and real-use case?
A: I think we are in a really unique postition to do that and educate people. They will come to our offices because they need internet and we will educate them how this works well toghether with crypto. We will do the digital identities for them, we will do the first exchanges for them, we will stake the tokens for them and then we will educate them.
